BUSlink to Bundle Retrospect Backup Software

Dantz Development Corp. recently announced that storage integrator BUSlink is now bundling Retrospect(R) Express Backup with their hard drives.

The company said that, starting immediately, Retrospect Express Backup for Microsoft Windows 98SE, Me, 2000, and Apple Mac OS 9 is included with every BUSlink USB and FireWire hard drive. According to Dantz, Retrospect's reliability, performance, and built-in support for USB and FireWire (IEEE 1394) devices were key factors in BUSlink's decision to bundle the software.

"Hard drives have reached an intersection of affordability and high capacity that makes them very attractive personal backup devices," stated Craig Isaacs, vice president of sales and marketing for Dantz Development. "BUSlink has made these devices even more appealing by configuring them with USB and 1394 interfaces and including our award-winning Retrospect Express Backup software in every box."

"Drag and drop just isn't a reliable method of backup anymore," remarked Ed O'Brien, BUSlink's director of sales. "Our USB and FireWire Hard Drives are becoming popular backup devices, so we're bundling Dantz's Retrospect Express Backup software for reliable data protection that our customers can count on."
