Neon Software announced a Windows NT version of its Internet bandwidth measurement utility CyberGauge, which can monitor and analyze the
throughput of nearly any type of Internet router and determine how much
bandwidth is being used on various switches and hubs.
Using Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), CyberGauge outputs its results in
an easy-to-understand graphical format.
CyberGauge displays Internet bandwidth information in real time on a trend
graph, saves the information for review, and exports or prints it on demand. It
creates JPEG graphs automatically so that bandwidth data can be included on
web pages. It can monitor multiple interfaces on multiple devices, and enable
an administrator to view multiple data channels as a single virtual network
interface.
