Big News Day for FutureLink Corp.

ASP FutureLink Corp. yesterday bombarded the market with announcement surrounding various additions to WorkForceIQ.com, its hosted education application portfolio.

These announcements come just under a month after FutureLink’s last big announcements. (see related ASP-News story, FutureLink Stays in the News, May 10th, 2000).

FutureLink Corp. is adding the Element K (formerly ZD Education) to WorkForceIQ.com. Element K will offer online training courses.

Through Element K, FutureLink will be able to offer customers e-Learning solutions on a monthly subscription basis.

Glen Holmes, president and chief executive officer, believes Element K to be one of the top tier providers of online corporate training courses. “It will be an integral part of our new online training offering,” he said.

Being a part of WorkForceIQ.com will allow anytime and anywhere access to all of Element K’s courseware through a Web browser.
The e-Learning solutions from SkillSoft will allow small to mid-sized companies the opportunity to use advanced employee training and development solutions, providing a cost effective method for smaller companies to give their employees all the time access to the online courses.

According to Holmes, FutureLink partnered with SkillSoft because of their soft skills leadership in the e-Learning category.

FutureLink also plans to offer interactive online training through LearnFrame’s e-Learning technologies.

FutureLink implemented LearnFrame’s Learning Center and Pinnacle Learning Manager, learning management tools with unlimited connectivity to technology-based training and other apps, within WorkForceIQ.com.

This integrated e-Learning solution was designed to deliver measurable, bottom-line impact, enabling businesses to track and quantify their employee training efforts.

Holmes believes FutureLink’s partnership with LearnFrame will enable the company to create an interactive e-Learning environment that supports a variety of online learning tools.

“LearnFrame’s technology gives us an abundance of flexibility and scalability in a hosted environment,” he said.

LearnFrame’s technology features the Pinnacle Learning Manager. Built with an open architecture to allow for easy and automatic contact with any technology-based training courseware, computer-based training and Web-based training and multiple business apps with out requiring changes or modifications to either program, Pinnacle Learning Manager allows HR managers and corporate trainers to manage all training date with one central database.
