In an alliance that will help power collaboration through the Web for Global 2000 companies, Centra , the Lexington Mass.-based provider of business software for live eLearning and collaboration, yesterday announced that PwC Consulting, a business of PricewaterhouseCoopers, will use Centra’s portal technology for a new business-to-extended-enterprise (B2E) initiative.
The B2E solution set, which aims to streamline and optimize global enterprise through the integration of infrastructure, content, and managed services, will initially incorporate products and services from alliance members that have worked closely with PwC Consulting to implement business solutions for public and private sector organizations.

Software is based on CentraOne, a thin-client Web collaboration platform. Centra offers a suite of Web collaboration products, content creation tools, and knowledge delivery systems which can be deployed on-site or through Centra’s full-service ASP.
