Closedloop Solutions, which specializes in Web-based applications that target financial planning Wednesday says it is embarking on a new partnership with salesforce.com.

The partnership is expected to combine Redwood City, Calif.-based Closedloop’s Dynamic Financial Control platform with salesforce.com’s online customer relationship management (CRM) solution.

The goal, say execs with both companies is to sell the joint products to companies that are re-evaluating their financial planning practices.

The San Francisco-based salesforce.com offers an online place for a company’s sales, marketing, and support division to manage and share comprehensive customer information.

Closedloop’s main products are its SpendCap, BizPlan and TopLine applications, which offer collaborative budgeting, planning and forecasting.

“Our Dynamic Financial Control suite replaces model-based budgeting assumptions with real-time information from the front-lines of the business and enables rapid analysis and coordinated response to changing business conditions,” says Closedloop VP of Customer Solutions David Finke.

Finke says the mission is to help companies forecast customer demand and increase sales performance more efficiently. Then with the addition of salesforce.com’s CRM software, corporations can better track their customers and sales channels.

“The power of salesforce.com together with Closedloop’s Dynamic Financial Control harnesses the front-line knowledge of a distributed sales force into a real-time consolidated financial planning and execution system,” says Finke.
