Corporate expense management ASP and independent software vendor (ISV) Concur Technologies announced today that London-based travel industry giant Sabre (EMEA) will use Concur Expense to automate its travel expense process.
While Concur offers both licensed and hosted versions of its applications, Sabre EMEA has selected the ASP model of Concur Expense. The service will allow Sabre to manage its travel and entertainment expenses more efficiently and
cost effectively.
“We selected Concur Expense due to the lower costs involved with automating
expense reports and the speed of implementation. We intend to utilize the
information we gather through automated expense reporting to negotiate
better rates with our preferred vendors. Additionally, we anticipate slashing the time and cost it
takes to process our employees’ T&E expense reports,” said Joyce Poulter, accounts payable manager at Sabre EMEA.
According to a statement released by Sabre, its decision to deploy an ASP model reflects the global nature of its
business. Concur Expense will be rolled out to 550 users throughout Europe. The solution is designed to be quickly deployed without draining IT department resources.
“EMEA companies are very forward-thinking when planning their IT strategies.
They are looking for solutions that bring high return at low cost and low
risk. Sabre’s decision to run on our ASP model is an example of this,” said Simon Nelson, vice president and general manager of Concur EMEA.
Concur’s 875 clients include AT&T, Citigroup, DaimlerChrysler, DuPont, First
Union and Pfizer. The company has formed strategic alliances with more than 50
companies such as ADP, American Express and KPMG Consulting.
