Corio Positioned for Government Work

Corio Inc. , an enterprise ASP, announced today that it has been awarded a GSA Federal Supply Schedule by the U.S. Government General Services Administration.

By completing the administrative requirements established by the GSA, all federal agencies can purchase ASP products and services directly from Corio through pre-negotiated and priced delivery orders under the Information Technology Products and Services Schedule. Federal agencies, Corio said, will spend an estimated $200 billion on IT products and services worldwide over the next five years.

Corio currently works on a subcontractor basis with government sector customers such as the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Department of the Treasury. With the GSA award, Corio reports that it will now be able to contract directly with those agencies.

“The GSA contract allows us to expand the availability of Corio’s enterprise ASP products and services to more government agencies worldwide,” said John Ottman, executive vice president of worldwide markets at Corio. “With this contract vehicle, we hope to build the Government sector as a primary focus for Corio’s business going forward.”

Corio manages applications from PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP and Siebel Systems. It is listed by ASPnews as Top 20 Service Provider.
