Calling it a natural extension of its hosted content management system, Los Angeles-based CrownPeak Technology earlier this week announced AdvantageMail, an e-mail campaign service that’s designed to provide customers with interface components for rich media e-mail creation, publishing and management.
AdvantageMail is based on hosted software from EmailLabs, a Redwood City, Calif.-based provider of e-mail marketing service. Like CrownPeak, EmailLabs’ product adheres to the software-as-a-service model.
“This is truly recognizing the promise of Web Services. EmailLabs provides such a wide array of features with proven reliability for tight integration for our customers, and it stays true to our philosophy of providing best-in-class solutions,” said Jim Howard, CrownPeak CEO.
AdvantageMail is designed to enable customers to integrate Web site workflow with both e-mail and site content. For example, CrownPeak reports, customers can create, design and publish an e-mail newsletters to their subscription database.
Through the Advantage CMS interface, CrownPeak says, users can run their rich-media e-mail through workflow like any other document. When ready to publish, the system automatically feeds the HTML, text and AOL-friendly versions directly into an EmailLabs system for distribution and tracking.
“Our partnership provides for a truly seamless solution that enables marketers to easily control how they integrate Web site content with their marketing email content,” said Dave Sousa, CEO, EmailLabs.
The AdvantageMail system is designed to produce real-time reports on e-mail publishing, auditing and other workflow related indicators. Through the partnership with EmailLabs, users can now also generate reports on user activity, bounces, unsubscribes and reply handling.
