Toronto-based Diversinet
, a digital certificate and PKI provider, announced it reached a licensing agreement with GlobalServe Communications Inc., a leading independent Canadian Internet service provider.

Under terms of the agreement, Diversinet will supply its Passport Certificate Server product to GlobalServe, and GlobalServe in turn will pay Diversinet a scaled license fee on a per user basis based on the number of certificates supplied. Citing the competitive nature of the industry, the companies declined to disclose financial terms of the agreement.

Diversinet develops and provides digital certificate management tools, as
well as public-key infrastructure (PKI) technology for corporate networks,
intranets, and the Internet for electronic commerce. The company’s proprietary PKI
technology offers users various security authentication applications.
