eLabor.com Claims Finalist Spot in Inc. Magazine/Cisco Awards

Jun 1, 2000

Labor resource planning solutions provider eLabor.com announced this week it was named a finalist in the Innovators in Sales and Marketing category of the Inc. /Cicso Growing with Technology Awards.

“We are honored to be singled out by Inc. magazine and Cisco Systems for our aggressive use of technology in building our business,” Michael Edell, president and chief executive officer, said.

eLabor.com was recognized by Inc. and Cisco for various network and Internet initiatives, which the company claims have directly contributed to its 530 percent growth rate since 1994.

These initiatives include the launch of eLabor.com’s labor management solutions available under the ASP model, online product demos and other sales-related uses of the Internet and the use of technology to facilitate internal communication among the company’s geographically distributed labor resource planning specialists.

Edell believes technology in general and the Internet in particular have had a major impact on eLabor.com. “It ranges from determining out product direction to facilitating sales, marketing and customer support,” Edell said.

eLabor.com completely rewrote its license applications in JAVA on the back end and HTML on the front end. It now offers the application over the Internet as an ASP, enabling the company to expand its customer base.

According to the company, by eliminating the need for customers to make large capital expenditures and pay ongoing expenses for a large in-house infrastructure, eLabor.com is using technology to bring automated labor management tools to middle market companies for the first time.
