FastChannel Buys eCreativeSearch

Merging firms that provide Internet technology to ad agencies, FastChannel Network, of Belmont, Mass., has bought
eCreativeSearch, of Chicago. Terms were undisclosed.

The deal enables FastChannel to bolster its online services. Customers will be able to view archived commercials, directors and talent (eCreativeSearch’s core
offering), as well as organize, distribute, control, archive, time-stamp and upload any kind of file into a single, user-friendly, online location.

In addition, storyboards, reels, spots, rough cuts, bid sheets and more can be shared with project team members. And finished ads and commercials can be
delivered nationwide.

“The back-breaking part was the creation of a comprehensive domestic and international network of media affiliates,” said Eugene P.Conese Jr., chairman
and CEO of FastChannel. “Now the fun really begins, as we incorporate additional innovations into our suite of services for our customers and affiliates.”

FastChannel said the acquisition will create the world’s largest online advertising delivery and commercial production network. It already connects over
15,000 subscribing advertisers, ad agencies, newspapers, distributors, broadcast stations and production studios.

Earlier this year, FastChannel signed multi-year agreements with radio network Westwood One and radio sales and marketing company Interep’s Radio Exchange.

eCreativeSearch was founded in 1998 and is privately held. In addition to its Belmont headquarters, FastChannel has offices in London, Chicago, Seattle and
Toronto.
