Ikimbo Partners With OTG

Online data storage company OTG Software, Inc. is Ikimbo, Inc.’s first business partner under a new program launched by Ikimbo that includes OEM, VAR and distributor relationships. The partnership will focus on the strengths of offering OTG’s IMXtender technology as part of Ikimbo’s Omniprise product.

Omniprise is a communications platform that provides an extensible set of communications tools integrated with enterprise-class applications. According to Ikimbo officials, the addition of the Rockville, Md.-based OTG’s IMXtender to Ikimbo’s Omniprise solution makes it the first real-time communications solution with critical archiving and retrieval functionality.

The Herndon, Va.-based Ikimbo’s launch of a business partnership program emphasizes the company’s efforts to provide a complete solution for users of the company’s products. The objective of the Ikimbo Business Partner Program is to promote real-time communications solutions through its partners’ abilities to provide increased value for their customer’s existing infrastructure investment.

“OTG Software is a very powerful partner for us. OTG has had great success and is gaining acceptance in the Global 1000 marketplace. We are pleased that OTG is bringing Omniprise into their extensive software channel and look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship,” said Edwin Miller, chief executive officer and president of Ikimbo.

In May, Miller spoke at the OTG Partner’s Conference in Las Vegas and discussed the market value of Omniprise. Also at the conference, OTG announced its intention to provide new abilities to capture, store, and access real-time content through integration with Omniprise.

OTG’s products support over 750 storage devices and are used by over 15,000 organizations worldwide and are available through a network of over 450 VARs, distributors, and OEMs.
