Intel Online Services Debuts AppChoice

Intel Online Service, the Internet application hosting subsidiary of Intel Corp., today announced the availability of AppChoice Managed Hosting Services.

Designed for customers who want control of their mission-critical applications, AppChoice also brings forth the benefits of a fully managed, outsourced hosting solutions.

Mike Aymar, president, believes the addition of AppChoice services expands the company’s ability to provide customers with innovative, managed hosting services which are tailored to suite a range of needs.

“Since opening for business nine months ago, we’ve been rapidly enrolling new customers, building strong relationships with e-Business solutions providers and aggressively expanding our global data center network,” Aymar said. “We’re excited about our progress and momentum.”

According to the company, AppChoice provides a proven, pre-tested hosting platform. This includes hardware, operating system and applications, along with the networking, infrastructure and data protection components of a reliable e-Business solution.

AppChoice allows ASPs, e-Business solutions providers, systems integrators and other developers and customers to integrate their mission-critical e-Business apps through a reliable, high-performance foundation.

Additionally, the company provides flexible tools that allow customers to monitor and control their chosen hosted apps.

In addition to AppChoice, Intel Online Services offers services ranging from fully managed and integrated e-Business solutions to co-location services.

Intel Online Services currently has five data centers, with a sixth scheduled to open within the next month in India. Overall, the company intends to invest $1 billion by the end of 2001 to develop and integrate Internet data centers worldwide.
