Lawson Software is selecting Digex Inc. as the managed hosting provider for the lawson.insight e-Procurement Service. The companies announced the strategic agreement at the recent annual Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Conference and Exhibition in New Orleans.
Lawson’s e-Procurement Service, the company’s Web-hosted purchasing management service, provides automated requisitioning, approval, receiving, reconciliation, invoice payment and posting to the general ledger. The service allows healthcare organizations to find the right items, at the right price — regardless of suppliers’ system capabilities — by integrating Lawson’s business applications with those of preferred suppliers, trading exchanges and group purchasing organizations.
