Coradiant Inc., the Boston, Mass.-based Managed Service Provider (MSP), today announced that David Coughlan, its VP of Strategic Development, has been elected as director-at-Large of the MSP Association, the international consortium of companies collaborating to define, shape and promote the emerging MSP market.
“This Association has proven itself to be a very unique organization, with the vision and leadership necessary to strengthen the awareness of the value and benefits that MSPs contribute to the industry,” says Coughlan, who expressed his happiness at being elected and is looking forward to his involvement in the initiatives sponsored by the MSP Association.
Prior to joining Coradiant in February 2001, Coughlan was vice president of business development for CO Space Inc., acquired by InterNAP Network Services in June 2000. Responsible for establishing partnerships and alliances, Coughlan was also a member of the team negotiating the sale to InterNAP.
Coughlan was vice president of acquisitions for the Frontier Group before joining CO Space, where he helped grow the company to over $175 million in 3 years. Coughlan has also served in a variety of executive management positions for Northland Investment Corp.
Linda Shannon-Hills, chair of the MSP Association says she is happy with the mix of qualified people members have chosen for the Board of the consortiums second year. “We have continuity plus new faces, with expertise and experience from large companies and small, from both the MSP and enabler sides. I’m looking forward to working with this energetic Board on an ambitious agenda to surmount the challenges of the coming year,” she says.
