NetLedger Announces Management Shifts

NetLedger Inc., a San Mateo, Calif.-based Net-native ASP, today announced three senior management changes. Evan Goldberg, former CEO, becomes chief technology officer and chairman of the board. Zach Nelson, former president and chief operating officer, assumes the CEO position.

Goldberg will replace Oracle’s Larry Ellison as chairman off the NetLedger board.

Goldberg left Oracle in 1998 to start NetLedger. The company was among the first to offer Web-based applications. Today the company offers the Oracle Small Business Suite, Advanced Accounting, NetCRM and NetSuite, which are aimed at small and mid-size companies.

Nelson joined NetLedger last year as president and chief operating officer. Nelson previously held positions with Oracle, Network Associates and Sun Microsystems.

According to NetLedger, its revenues has increase five-fold and the passed 6,000-customer mark.
The company also announced that in the past year it expanded its workforce by 80 percent since a year ago and opened four new sales locations in New York, Seattle, South Carolina, and Chicago.

“When I look at the cost savings offered by our Web-based model, the broad functionality of our products, and the short implementation time — it is no surprise that we are bucking the trend during this down economy,” said Nelson.

NetLedger is listed by ASPnews as a Top 20 Service Provider.
