Atlanta-based Novient, Inc. has formed a link with San Francisco’s CascadeWorks to integrate their solutions for management of delivery and e-procurement arenas.
As per the agreement, Novient will provide the CascadeWorks Clarity solution as an added feature to its customers, equipping Novient clients with two-pronged advantage. First, clients will have access to future project demands, as well as an accounting of current inventory, part of Novient’s role as an Internet-based SPO solution provider for the service industry. Second, CascadeWorks will streamline efforts involved in procuring adequate labor from external sources to handle the demand of orders placed.
No financial terms of the partnership were forthcoming from either company.
According to Novient executive VP of strategy and business development, David Keil, the company’s latest partnership will enhance the way their customers prepare for events before they happen.
“Since our movement into internal IT in the third quarter of 2000, CIOs have increasingly requested a combined solution to both procure effectively and manage their internal resources,” he said. “We are confident that the CascadeWorks/Novient joint solution will provide significant value to customers by bringing services supply and demand together for the first time.”
Diana Jovin, CEO of privately-held CascadeWorks, said, “We are pleased to have been selected by Novient to deliver services e-procurement solutions as part of an integrated offering. This best-of-breed joint solution will provide outstanding value to customers through enhanced organizational effectiveness, higher utilization of resources, and dramatic cost savings in the procurement of services personnel.”
