Optika, WTS Offer J.D. Edwards Add-ons

Collaboration and workflow ISV Optika Inc. announced Monday (Dec. 17) that J.D. Edwards enterprise ASP World Technology Services (WTS) will host Optika’s Acorde, a complementary product to the J.D. Edwards suite.

“Our philosophy is to work with the best company in each market space and we believe Optika offers outstanding imaging, workflow and collaboration solutions,” said Tom Hughes, president of WTS. “The fact that Optika has a certified integration with J.D. Edwards and many happy customers also helped make the decision to forge this relationship much easier.”

Seattle-based WTS will offer hosting services for the complete line of Optika solutions to both single-site and multi-national organizations. WTS focuses solely on hosting and support of J.D. Edwards OneWorld, WorldSoftware and co-existence applications, as well as complementary products such as Optika’s Acorde, as well as wide area network installation and support.

Under the agreement, WTS and Optika will jointly market Optika solutions to new and existing WTS customers. WTS will also provide hosting services for the end user as well as first line technical and help desk support.

WTS is currently hosting an Optika solution for CarrAmerica Realty Corp. (NYSE:CRE), one of the largest property developers and operators of commercial office space in the United States. WTS is providing a co-existence environment for more than 500 CarrAmerica users in 12 markets. By outsourcing its Optika Acorde applications with WTS, CarrAmerica was able to focus on its core business of developing and operating properties.
