SAP Teams With Tecnomatix

German e-business software giant SAP and Nashua, N.H., manufacturing process management
applications maker Tecnomatix Technologies have inked a product pact.

Under terms of the deal, Tecnomatix’s eMPower product will be integrated into mySAP Product Life Cycle Management suite. The companies will cooperate with
development, marketing, support and maintenance, with the first shipment scheduled for early 2002.

“This relationship is significant to manufacturers who believe their competitive advantage is gained through effective management of product and process life cycles,”
said Harel Beit-On, Tecnomatix’s president and CEO. “The SAP-Tecnomatix offering will create new opportunities for companies by linking process
models to product data.”

News of the deal boosted TCNO shares, 0.52, or 5 percent, to 11.74 on Wednesday. SAP was also up, gaining 1.24, or 3 percent to 37.32.
