Siemens Chooses iSearch to Integrate Online Recruiting

iSearch, the leading provider of Internet-based human capital management services, has announced that global electronics giant Siemens U.S. selected it to implement a recruitment and hiring system that efficiently centralizes the staffing needs of its operating companies. This comes on the heels of Deloitte & Touche’s recent announcement naming iSearch the third fastest growing technology company in Los Angeles.

Staffing professionals from various Siemens groups will use iSearch to source and track applicants, to monitor job requisitions, and to view and route resumes inside the company. Siemens employees will use iSearch via an in-house career site to identify and apply for new internal job opportunities.

“Siemens’ decision to use iSearch to consolidate its complex staffing processes places the company in an advantageous position, including helping with staff retention,” said John Reese, president and CEO of iSearch. “The iSearch service will enable Siemens to quickly and cost-effectively identify, evaluate, and select the people whom best fit their staffing needs, keeping the company in the technology forefront along with other high-growth enterprises and Fortune 500 companies utilizing our services.”

iSearch’s patented technology will now process all forms of resumes in a more cost-effective and efficient manner for Siemens, which was necessary since the firm receives and processes approximately 200,000 resumes each year.

Siemens evaluated multiple vendors before choosing iSearch, basing its selection on five criteria: volume of resumes the system could process, reporting functions, performance of the system, ability to track data for legal compliance, and capability of servicing and supporting Siemens’ organization.

“Since selecting iSearch over six other vendors, we have no doubt that we made the right decision,” said Clay England, staffing manager for Siemens Information and Communication Networks. “For a company the size of Siemens, scalability and responsiveness are critical issues. Our implementation has gone smoothly, and we are already seeing benefits from using this system. We believe we now have tools to dramatically decrease time to hire and dramatically improve process performance.”

Siemens is an industry leader in telecommunications and automation and a key player in microelectronics and information systems. For fiscal year 2000 (ending September 30), Siemens U.S. businesses, with over 73,000 employees, recorded sales of $18.1 billion. Siemens AG, based in Berlin and Munich, is one of the world’s largest electrical engineering and electronics companies and employs approximately 447,000 people in 193 countries.

iSearch is a web-recruiting pioneer, matching people with jobs over the Internet since 1994. The company provides richly featured human capital management services for over 170 firms, managing their job-posting and candidate profile databases. iSearch serves Fortune 500 companies and high-growth enterprises in a wide range of industries, and its technology powers several major Internet job sites. iSearch clients include BellSouth, eBay, FleetBoston Financial, Honeywell, Intel, Knight-Ridder, Nordstrom, Novartis, Siemens, Silicon Graphics, Texaco, United Airlines, and Xerox.
