SilverStream Software, Inc. , today announced several new and existing customers for it SilverStream eXtend product line, in the first quarter of 2002.
The integrated product suite, launched in December, 2001, is designed to simplify and accelerate the development and deployment of the next generation of Web applications using Web services.
SilverStream argues that any organization that has a complex IT environment can benefit from SilverStream eXtend’s XML-based integration capabilities which Web service-enable enterprise systems including mainframes and other legacy or back-end systems, vendor packages, Web sites and EDI exchanges.
Among those also choosing SilverStream eXtend products for the first time are Arbella Insurance Group and Clarica Life Insurance.

Many existing SilverStream customers representing a diverse range of industries have also purchased new or additional SilverStream eXtend products in the first quarter of 2002, including a United States Government Agency, the Confederation of Norwegian Business, the County of El Paso, Express Scripts, MacDonald Dettwiler, Minihouse, the Minnesota Department of Health and the State of Ohio Department of Health.
