Sales professionals in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry number in
the tens of thousands, most operating on the road or from home offices
around the world. Leveraging just the right information from these
increasingly mobile, global road warriors provides one of the greatest
supply chain challenges for CPG companies such as Quaker Oats (NYSE:OAT) , Nestle USA,
Warner Lambert and Del Monte (NYSE:DLM).
In an alliance announced by Silvon Software Inc. and RW3 Technologies, Inc., CPG companies will soon be able to meet these supply chain challenges.
Under the alliance, RW3 will adopt and imbed Silvon’s web-based data warehousing and business analytics technology into its suite of sales force automation products. The combined solution will be offered as an ASP service by RW3 to its clients in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
“This alliance will yield a business analytics solution for
consumer goods enterprises by melding Silvon’s data warehousing technology
and supply chain analytic application expertise with RW3’s pioneering sales
automation systems,” said John H. Hughes, Senior Vice President of Sales and
Marketing at Silvon.
By integrating Silvon Software’s business intelligence tools into the sales
force automation system of RW3 Technologies, CPG businesses soon will be
able to conduct real-time analysis through the Web on retail conditions
across all trade channels.
“We are very excited about making Silvon’s award-winning technology an
integral part of RW3’s offering, ” said Bruce Nagle, President and CEO of
RW3 Technologies. “Clients will benefit by being able to analyze large
volumes of data relative to in-store positioning, merchandising and
promotional compliance.”
