ThinAirApps Opens Strategic Services

At a time when Silicon Alley is absorbing its share of shutdowns and layoffs, wireless play ThinAirApps today announced the opening of a new Strategic Services Division to support clients using its technology.

The New York-based ThinAirApps, which builds wireless software applications, said the new division was created to help enterprises and technology partners design their wireless initiatives and strategies.

The company’s applications deliver real-time wireless access to data, corporate or personal. The platform has has been deployed by ISPs and ASPs, and multinational corporations in a variety of applications, the company said.

ThinAirApps said the new division would provide services that include the development and deployment of wireless applications using the ThinAir Server and ThinAir Software Development Kit (SDK).

The division will also conduct administrative training to IT staff, at the nearly 100 corporations installing the technology, and new users of its ThinAir Server.

ThinAirApps VP Tom Nogles said the new division was another step to ensure customers and partners are taken care of.
