Totality Lands Retail Giant’s Web Sites

Totality, an e-business application and infrastructure management provider, announced Monday that its ManagedWare services have been chosen to manage Best Buy Co.’s Web properties, which include BestBuy.com, Best Buy Entertainment, Musicland, Sam Goody, Media Play, Suncoast and On Cue.

Totality’s BuildWare and ManageWare provide services ranging from design and development of a site’s infrastructure to ongoing 24 X 7 site management and operations. BestBuy.com and its other Web properties offer consumer electronic products. By the end of the year, Best Buy says it online channel will offer its full retail product line, which includes consumer electronics, entertainment software, home office products and home appliances.

“We selected Totality for its strong reputation and strength in 24×7 monitoring and proactive problem management that will help ensure that the site is always available and highly responsive, ” said Tom Mundt, director of systems operations for e-commerce initiatives at Best Buy.

Totality is based in San Franciso. Its clients include Global 2000 companies and fast-growing Internet companies.
