Trellix Gets Bizopia’s Business

Nov 22, 2002

Trellix Corp., a Concord, Mass.-based private-label ASP that specializes in of Web site publishing and hosting technologies, today announced a partnership with Bizopia, a hosting and site building provider for small businesses.

Under terms the agreement, Bizopia will use the Trellix platform and hosting services to offer Web site creation, domain name services and Web-based email.

According to Trellix, while Bizopia’s management team has experience building hosting infrastructure and site-building applications from scratch, it decided to outsource those services because they determined that the ongoing technical demands distracted them from their core business.

“We understand that small businesses know they should be online, but they don’t have the time to become Web designers and they don’t want to spend thousands of dollars to get there,” said Gary Remy, CEO of Bizopia. “Trellix gives us all the tools and services we need to let these businesses achieve their online marketing goals.”

Customers of Bizopia receive Web site design assistance, according to the company. But the Trellix platform will make maintenance easy enough for novice business users.

Trellix is listed by ASPnews as a Top 30 Service Enabler.
