WebEx Inks North Carolina Tech Firm

Roanoke Technology Corp., (RNKE), a Roanoke Rapids, N.C.-based technology firm that sells business Internet solutions, today announced a licensing agreement with WebEx Communications, Inc. , the San Jose, Calif.-based provider of online collaboration software.

The firm will use WebEx’s services to conduct sales demonstrations and product support for its three core businesses.

“We are very excited about WebEx,” says Jack Webb, RNKE’s Executive Vice President, who explains that the firm;s purpose it to sells business Internet solutions to help customers’ Web sites gain visibility among major search engines used by potential consumers.

“Now we are using rtc.webex.com a state-of-the-art technology to sell technology. Preliminary results have been encouraging and our customers have been extremely impressed with our new ability to effectively demonstrate our products and services,” Webb adds.

Says David Smith, RNKE’s President and CEO added, “It is a pleasure to use this new tool. We are proud of the products and services that we offer to our customers and selecting WebEx allows us to continue to add value to our customers. Our closing rate has increased by forty percent since we started using WebEx,” he explains.

RNTK operates 3 core businesses: Top-10 Promotions, Inc., a Web site promotion business that obtains search engine placements for clients’ web sites; RFQHosting, which provides an online procurement system to small to medium businesses allowing buyers to place their suppliers in a competitive bidding system; and RTCHosting for customers to build their own Web sites.
