Banyan Updates Intranet Application

Network solutions firm Banyan Systems Inc. will be shipping the
latest version of its Banyan Intranet Connect (BIC) application Friday.


BIC is a Web-based tool designed to provide remote access to network
resources, including e-mail, on a worldwide basis.


The latest version’s enhancements include customizable search capabilities,
shared e-mail, local and network file attachments and links to multiple
vendor e-mail systems.


“. . . With this newest release, organizations that use Banyan VINES or
Microsoft Windows NT networks can benefit from a solution that combines
browser-based remote access to any enterprise network resources through a
single Web-based client,” said Lex Crosett, Banyan’s VP of engineering and
chief technology officer.
