Software firm Brience Inc. Tuesday
bought mobile solution specialist Data on
Air Inc.
for an undisclosed amount.

For the last five years, Data on Air has served as an outsourcing service
provider of a wide array of Internet and intranet solutions to wireless
carriers in the U.S. and Latin America. With the deal, Brience expands its
offerings to include carrier scale hosting and managing of the wireless
Internet/intranet infrastructure, allowing firms to deploy the latest
wireless technologies in the enterprise.

Brience will target global organizations
working to deliver personalized customer interactions through
broadband and wireless devices.

The merger will make it possible for wireless carriers to concentrate on
marketing and providing wireless access while Brience manages gateway
services, content, enterprise access, technical support and implementation
of software for the delivery of personalized information.

“Data on Air’s expertise and resources will be instrumental as we enable
Global 1000 companies to extend the reach of their e-business enterprises to
their mobile customers and mobile employees via broadband and wireless
devices,” said Rod McGeary, co-founder and chief executive officer of
Brience.

Brience’s goal is to create enterprise solutions that enable companies to
leverage their current e-business infrastructures to
dynamically customize and deliver information.
