InteleTravel
International
, a network of 90,000+ home-based travel agents, announced
today the launch of its new Internet Web site which contains an agents-only intranet site for direct online booking of vacation packages.

The agents-only section of the Web site is designed to enhance the productivity of home-based agents working with personal computers, especially those who have previously depended on telephone and fax messaging to complete the booking process.

InteleTravel agents can now research, book and receive confirmations online
for vacation packages offered by InteleTravel’s core providers, including Continental Airlines Vacations, Delta Vacations, Marriott Villa Vacations, as well as research and request reservations for cruise industry products, the company said.

“This will be the first time our technology is used solely as a
closed-end network for travel agents booking via the Internet,” said
Jeanette Slepian, vice president of sales for Internet Travel Network.
“While we’re well known for providing consumer reservation sites on
the Web, our work with InteleTravel represents a new area of
expansion, and demonstrates the flexibility of our products.”

Site content is expected to expand within 90 days to include segment travel
bookings
(air, car and hotel) via an advanced booking engine to be supplied by
Internet Travel Network.
