Interlink Adds Encryption Technology to NetLOCK

Electronic commerce solutions provider Interlink Computer Sciences Inc. and Finland-based SSH Communications Security Ltd. today announced they have entered into an agreement under which the SSH IPSEC Express Toolkit will be incorporated into the next generation of Interlink’s NetLOCK Security Suite.

NetLOCK software is designed to enable secure, encrypted transmissions between remote users and servers inside the corporate firewall.

The company said compliance with IPsec–a proposed Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) standard–allows corporate enterprises using NetLOCK offerings to function with VPN products including routers, firewalls and tunnel servers from companies including AXENT Technologies, Cisco Systems, Check Point Software Technologies, Entrust Technologies, Network Associates and Raptor Systems.

“SSH IPSEC Express is the most comprehensive IPsec solution available,
supporting all the latest standards and draft standards,” said Charles Breed, Director of the NetLOCK product line at Interlink. “It has proven itself extremely compatible with other solutions. For instance, the IKE solution from SSH Communications Security is currently used as a reference implementation for the interoperability of other major solutions. The addition of this technology will dramatically accelerate the development of our next version of NetLOCK.”

SSH Communications Security Ltd. provides solutions based on cryptographic methods for securing Internet communications.
