Heeding the call from research firms that are extremely bullish on
enterprise portals overseas, IntraNet Solutions Inc. bought
InfoAgent Solutions BV Wednesday for an undisclosed sum.
However, the firms did say the play was a cash transaction, anticipated to
be accretive, and will make InfoAgent a wholly-owned subsidiary of IntraNet
Solutions.
An integrator of IntraNet Solutions’ software products throughout
continental Europe for the past two years, InfoAgent sells Web content
management products to a number of high-profile customers including Audi,
Pink Roccade, ING Barings, the Dutch Parliament and Loeff-Claes Verbeecke.
Once the deal closes IntraNet Solutions will boost its
sales and support staff and have access to
InfoAgent’s extensive international client base which includes resellers and
system integrators in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Italy,
Spain, Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
Minnesota-based IntraNet Solutions’ bread and butter is its Xpedio Content
Management System, whose Publisher software makes it possible for developers
to translate business documents into Web pages.
“InfoAgent’s credibility in the European market and previous experience and
knowledge of IntraNet Solutions’ products will help deliver our successful
Xpedio Content Management System to global markets,” said Robert Olson,
president and chief executive officer, IntraNet Solutions.
