IntraNet Solutions Inc. Tuesday extended its arms to the real estate
industry when it offered its top product to RESoft Inc., a Web-based
document management company.
Financial details were not disclosed.
IntraNet Solutions’ Xpedio Content Management system, which automates
business content from desktop applications, business applications and
templates, will be added to RESoft’s new document management suite of
products, REDocs.
REDocs helps real estate owners and operators to manage property and
portfolio information on the Web, as well as offer their
customers, employees, partners and vendors access to real estate information
through an Internet browser.
REDocs users can enhance core real estate business processes such as
leasing, property management, vendor procurement, acquisition, disposition
and financing.
While the need for intranets in real estate is perhaps not as vital as multi-billion-dollar
deals like the one EDS recently inked with the Navy, RESoft Chief Executive Officer Duane Lund, said
real estate is one of the largest markets in the country.
Robert Olson, CEO for IntraNet Solutions, said his company hopes to “create
a real estate industry standard that will streamline the
communications process for the real estate industry, ultimately saving
property managers’ time and reducing their operating costs.”
IntraNet Solutions, which sells its wares to more than 1,500 companies
worldwide, has also granted RESoft rights to resell all IntraNet Solutions
products to the commercial real estate industry in the U.S. and Canada.
