IntraNet Solutions Inc. Wednesday found another customer for its leading
Xpedio Content Management Solution system when corporate housing developer
Oakwood Worldwide picked the suite for its intranet.
The deal, for which financial details were not made public, allows Oakwood’s
3,500 employees to publish their business content, including property
photographs and destination information, from any source to the Oakwood Web
site automatically.
Users looking to scope out corporate housing, which are simply apartments
leased to relocating workers in travel mode, can then access instant
information about Oakwood’s locations and services worldwide.
The Xpedio suite enables was developed to help customers roll out business
Web sites and automate the process of maintaining up-to-date data on such
sites. Business content from desktop applications, business applications and
templates is managed and published in such formats as HTML, XML, PDF and
WML.
The latest version, 4.5, was launched last week and features dynamic
conversion, auto-content categorization and bolstered wireless capabilities.
Located in the heart of the Silicon Prairie in Eden Prairie, Minn., IntraNet
Solutions devotes much of its time to racking up additional customers for
Xpedio, but it has other products, such as Outside In, to sell to
enterprises.
Outside In mobile viewing technology, which lets software developers to
deploy file-based information within their application environment to
address users’ various information management requirements. Nokia Corp. now
uses this technology in its Internet-enabled 9210 Communicator phone.
Though Xpedio is no doubt its top-seller, IntraNet Solutions’ products are
used by more than 1,500 customers, including Agilent Technologies, GE
Capital and Ericsson Telecom AB.
