Top executives from various industries will head a program of cutting edge
intranet information at the Intranets for Knowledge Management
USA ’99 conference in San Francisco Nov. 3-5.
Speakers from such companies as Pfizer (PFE),
Mobil (MOB)
and Xerox (XRX)
will discuss the advantages of using company intranets for knowledge sharing.
The conference will cover the latest applications and technologies of
Knowledge Management as well as revealing how to successfully integrate and
exploit them.
Loaded with case studies and panel sessions, the conference begins in the
morning with two schemas — “The Human Factor of Culture and Human
Resources” and the “Technology Factor — Implementation and Impact” — and
meets in the afternoon to discuss the fusion of both.
“Companies are waking up to the fact that IT can no longer seen as an
add-on. Effective use is critical to the success of business,” said
Victoria Smith, director of the event. “The leading companies know that a
successful Knowledge Management program is essential if they want to stay at the top.”
