Looking to fine tune its alliances in a different market segment, Intranets.com sealed partnerships Monday
with a telecommunications provider and Web hosting firm.
Though financial terms of the deal were not made public, broadband e2e and application service
provider Hostcentric Inc. will both
employ Intranets.com’s enterprise service for their clients.
Intranets.com, which brings document sharing, group discussions, instant
messaging, announcement posting and calendar
scheduling to partners’ intranet table, has been gaining momentum in the
telecom/Web-hosting market since a partnership with Hello Direct last March. Since
partnering with the aforementioned firm, Intranets.com has tacked on 600 new
customers.
“We are constantly looking to meet consumer demands for new and exciting
services and become more productive in the extremely competitive telecom
landscape,” said Howard Freedland, chief executive officer of broadband e2e,
a national provider of Internet connectivity and online solutions for small-to-medium sized
businesses.
“These opportunities enable both Intranets.com and our strategic partners to
attract new customers, retain regular customers and generate new channels of
revenue,” said Steve Fischer, director of business development at
Intranets.com.
The idealab! offspring, which
celebrated breaking the 300,000 registered sites milestone last August, has
enjoyed expansion in Japan and the Netherlands in the past year.
Rick Faulk, vice president of marketing for Intranets.com, said his company
would be rolling out server farms in the United Kingdom, Latin America and
Australia this month.
