Touting the move as a “win-win” for everyone involved, Intranets.com Monday launched its
affiliate program to provide online companies the opportunity to earn a
five dollar commission each time one of their customers links to its site
and registers for a free intranet.

In just the first week of the program, nearly 600 affiliates have
registered to participate in the idealab! venture’s latest offering.

Managed by Be Free Inc., Intranets.com’s
affiliate program provides partners with around-the-clock technical
support, custom links and banner advertisements, and easy-to-use reporting
tools to track and detail success of the program. The program is free to
affiliates.

“To encourage visitor loyalty, Web communities are constantly looking for
unique services to add value to their sites. But for many
companies, creating these custom services is often cost- or
resource-prohibitive. We hope to help our Affiliate partners overcome
that hurdle, by providing Affiliates with free access to our value-added
service,” said Rick Faulk, Intranets.com vice president of marketing.

“By offering our free service to their online customers, Affiliates can
earn incremental revenues for themselves while enhancing their customers’ online experience.
And Intranets.com benefits by leveraging the reach of existing third-party Web communities.”

Creator of the world’s first free intranet portal, Intranets.com is the
premier provider of free intranet portal solutions for the small- to
medium- business market. Since Intranets.com launched its free intranet
portal service, about 60,000 small businesses and groups have registered
for their own custom intranet.
