Eastman Kodak Company has licensed Apple’s
QuickTime for use in developing digital cameras.

The agreement allows Kodak to build and sell
digital cameras that let users create video clips in the cross-platform
QuickTime.

According to Philip Schiller, Apple’s vice president of worldwide product marketing, more than 50 million copies of the QuickTime 4 player have been distributed to Mac and Windows users worldwide.

“And now we’re seeing QuickTime extend
beyond the desktop and into mainstream consumer devices, with Kodak taking
the lead,” he said.
