Mercury Interactive Supports Oracle9iAS

Aug 23, 2001

Mercury Interactive Corp. announced support for the Oracle9i Application Server, giving Oracle users a way to test and manage performance before deploying the technology.

Mercury Interactive, a Sunnyvale, Calif., provider of load testing and application performance management technology, said Oracle9iAS integrated with LoadRunner and Topaz will let users “ensure optimal scalability before deployment” of their systems.

Mercury Interactive said new custom Oracle9iAS performance monitors in LoadRunner and Topaz, including a Web server monitor, Enterprise Java Bean monitor and cache server monitor, will “allow users to quickly isolate and resolve performance problems before going live, as well as in production.” The monitors will be available in September.

“Because the Oracle9i Application Server J2EE implementation is lightweight and high performing, it is an ideal platform for running mission critical Java applications,” said Rene Bonvanie, vice president of Oracle9i marketing. “Mercury Interactive’s LoadRunner and Topaz products integrated with Oracle9i Application Server, allow enterprises to test, monitor and fix performance bottlenecks to ensure top-notch performance, scalability and reliability in the production environment.”

Mercury is a participant in the Oracle Partner Program and is a Certified Solution Provider.
