Secure Computing Corporation
released today network security software designed for companies wanting to
extend network access to remote employees or partners.

SecureWire is an intranet/extranet solution that works with a user’s
existing network technology, providing secure external access to content
inside a corporation’s firewall. Other methods require companies to
duplicate content to Web servers outside the firewall in order to provide
access to external parties. SecureWire eliminates this step.

The product enables administrators to grant access to designated classes of
individuals. A standard Web browser is used for authenticating users and
authorizing access to only that content that has been approved for that
specific user class.

SecureWire will be available later this month, with pricing starting at
$11,500 for a five-server license.
