Thomson Financial, a developer of integrated solutions for the financial
tech sector, Thursday said it created a customized intranet solution for
investment firm Gruntal & Co.
Thomson Financial designed Gruntal’s new site, which will be used to
disseminate internal research and other content to more than 1,000 brokers
and clients, with its Web platform.
The site was designed under Thomson Financial’s Application Service Provider
(ASP) suite, which is focused on the institutional investor community.
Unlike many technology providers, Thomson Financial feels it has an
advantage over other solution providers because it knows how to blend
investment content with technology to come up with economical solutions.
Eric Siber, senior vice president at Gruntal, said the decision to choose
Thomson came after the investment firm decided it needed to streamline
research distribution.
“Our brokers and institutional clients will benefit from improved
productivity and direct access to Gruntal’s research commingled with Thomson
content, and quick links to the research our brokers use the most,” Siber
said.
Thomson Financial will also provide content for the intranet, including
real-time research reports from First Call Research Direct, analyst morning
meeting notes from First Call Notes, as well as earnings estimates.
