Verio Inc. Tuesday announced it will use managed security services from WatchGuard Technologies Inc. in its new suite of network offerings.
Targeted toward firewalls and virtual private networks (VPNs), the services are designed to protect small and mid-sized companies from dynamic online risks including hackers and spammers. They are based on WatchGuard’s LiveSecurity for MSS security system, providing 24-hour monitoring, remote configuration, incident response and system updates, the companies said.
“LiveSecurity for MSS is a proven managed security solution that adds to our growing portfolio of value-added, enhanced Internet service offerings,” said Buddy Cunningham, vice president of sales and marketing for Verio.
“Managed security complements our diverse range of Web hosting, e-commerce and high-speed Internet access products and helps strengthen our position as a leading one-stop source for companies that want to take full advantage of the Internet.”
The MSS packages are available with a variety of value-added options and range in price from $895 a month for the standard plan to $1,295 a month for the premium plan. All packages include free hardware rental.
