Advanced Datacom Systems of Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire, has signed a reseller agreement with PacketWare of New York to distribute PacketVision network message analysis software in the UK and Europe.

Customers in the UK and Europe will now get support “a bit closer to home,” the vendors said.

The PacketWare products are designed to improve the performance
and software quality of network-enabled applications. PacketVision is
PacketWare’s flagship product, and has the unique ability to capture and
decode LAN traffic into detailed application level messages for
performance analysis and troubleshooting, without disturbing
communications.

Existing PacketVision users include the US Army, NASA, Banker’s
Trust, Prudential Insurance, Citibank, and the International Atomic
Energy Agency.

Advanced Datacom Systems currently offers a Wide Area Network
Performance System, a Network Application Analysis package, and a
LAN monitoring range of agents and software. By adding PacketVision
to the range, it will improve its service to a customer base which includes
Chase Manhattan Bank, Reuters, American Express, TNT, Lotus and
Bank of America.
