KnowledgeView to Demonstrate Web Publishing Software

British technology firm KnowledgeViewJLtd. will demonstrate
its RAPID information system for Internet, intranet and CD-ROM publishing
at the upcoming Gitex’98 expo in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Oct. 29-Nov. 2.


TheJKnowledgeViewJdivisions in the Arab world will also hold two industry
seminars on newspaper publishing systems and enterprise information systems.


RAPID Publish provides Internet publishers with full-text Arabic archiving
capability. It was first used for the 1996 World Food Summit in Geneva.


New versions of NewsNet and PictureNet software for news agency wire
reception, as well as RAPID systems for archiving and Internet publishing,
will be on show.


The London-based company plans to set a firm foot in the region by
inaugurating a UAE office in Dubai. Headed by Ammar Al-Assam, and staffed
with an experienced engineering and programming team, the office will start
operations during Gitex’98.


Forthcoming from KnowledgeView is the first Java-based Arabic search
engine. The company will be showcasing a pre-release version during Gitex’98.
