OfficeMax Launches E-Commerce Sites for Japan and Mexico

OfficeMax Inc. has launched international Web sites in Japan and Mexico, and plans to launch a third
site for Brazil in the coming year. All the sites are in native languages.

Michael Feuer, OfficeMax’s chairman and chief executive officer said: “These
international Web site launches exemplify OfficeMax and its joint venture
partners’ dedication to becoming the No. 1 destination in Cyberspace for
customers around the world shopping for office supplies.” Partner identities
were not disclosed.

OfficeMax operates more than 870 real-world stores in over 370 markets in 49
states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The Company also features
in-store modules, CopyMax and FurnitureMax, devoted exclusively to
print-for-pay services and office furniture.

In addition, the company has 18
delivery centers throughout the United States to serve its catalog and direct
marketing businesses, including OfficeMax.com which offers a merchandise
assortment of over 20,000 items.
