StarBase Corp. Thursday unveiled a new integrated suite of products to create, test and deploy Web-based enterprise applications.

The StarBase (SBAS)
eCycle Management strategy is based on the eCycle Framework of two new
StarBase products, StarGate and StarBase Server, complemented by an expert
consulting
and professional services group.

StarBase Server, scheduled for delivery in March, is a
platform-independent advanced
portal repository designed to support the most complex e-business
environments including
best-of-breed application development tools and content-oriented portals.

StarGate, due in December, is a comprehensive application programming
interface providing access to the StarBase Server. It provides facilities
for the rapid creation of clients, specialized Web-browser interfaces and
desktop and corporate
portals for the management of e-business application development.

The company said the suite will allow it to leverage its
technologies through its clients, partners and soon-to-be-launched
professional services organization.

“There is a rapidly growing requirement to integrate the entire value chain
of employees,
business partners, suppliers and customers via Web-based applications.
Organizations must
develop increasingly complex software solutions at greater speed and
rapidly bring their
legacy systems into the Internet era.

Through internal development efforts, StarBase will soon launch a suite of thin-client and desktop portal interfaces to StarTeam, its award-winning team collaboration solution.
