Glen Cove, NY-based interactive entertainment company Acclaim Entertainment
Inc. signed with 24/7 Media Inc. to be its exclusive
advertising sales representative.

To support the new collaboration, Acclaim said it has re-launched its core
site, Acclaim.Net, which provides gaming news,
information, game demos, and corporate information. The site has undergone a
substantial remodeling with the goal of offering a clean, intuitive design,
user-friendly navigation, better traffic flow and support for Internet
advertising.

“Acclaim Online serves three key functions for the company: it provides
information on our company and products, supports our e-commerce services,
and serves as a platform for online gaming,” said Gregory Fischbach,
co-chairman and CEO of Acclaim Entertainment. “The re-launch. . .and the deal
with 24/7 Media is an important part of our company’s online strategy.”

Ben Fischbach, manager of Acclaim Online, said: “The new design will allow us
to generate advertising revenue using both the network and sponsorship online
advertising models, and will aid in the growth of our Acclaim Online
initiatives, including e-commerce.

“Acclaim.Net is an excellent vehicle for reaching the core gaming demographic
of male teens,” said Angela Beristain, business development director at 24/7 Media.
Acclaim markets game software for Nintendo, Sony and Sega hardware systems
and PCs.
