Acteva Names Young & Rubicam as Agency of Record

After a formal review, Acteva (formerly known as TixToGO, the
Marketplace for Activities) has awarded its advertising account to Young & Rubicam San Francisco.

Billings were
not disclosed.

“Originally, Young & Rubicam’s reputation as consummate professionals drew us
to the firm,” said Lu Cordova, CEO of Acteva.

“After meeting with the team,
we were certain that their wealth of experience, talent and energy offered
just the right ingredients for building our brand, creating market awareness
and relaying our exciting story.”

“With an ever-increasing number of Internet startups knocking at our doors,
we are required to be selective in forming relationships,” said Austin
McGhie, president of Y&R.

“After meeting with Acteva’s management team and
reviewing their plans for the future we knew immediately we wanted to partner
with them for the long term.”

Acteva is creating what it calls a Marketplace for Activities. The company
was formed in 1997 to design and operate a simple and cost-effective way to
provide online booking, ticketing, reservations, registrations, donations and
a full range of activity management services to support these transactions.

Y&R said it has begun work on developing Acteva’s new identity as well as
crafting a worldwide branding strategy centered on the company’s recent name
change.

Young and Rubicam/SF opened its doors in 1978 and is a full service agency
executing both online and off-line advertising and has approximately 200
employees with more than $250 million in annual billings. Clients include
Sony, Adobe and Chevron.
