Deerbrook Publishing Group’s Artup.com signed an exclusive deal with Go2Net’s Metacrawler search engine that includes
premium placement throughout art related areas and makes Artup.com the
exclusive art-related site advertiser for the key word “art.”
“This agreement will allow artup.com to reach over a million Go2Net users per
month, including every single user searching for information on art and art
related subjects,” said Keith Chesser, resident and CEO of Deerbrook
Publishing Group.
Spending was not disclosed.
Last week, Deerbrook also announced a marketing pact with Lycos in which
Artup.com will be featured throughout the Lycos Arts and Entertainment
Channel, Shopping Channel, and Search Engine areas.
“These agreements are much more important then the typical banner
advertisement buy. We are going to integrate our content and commerce
properties directly into the search engines where it counts. When users look
for something related to art we want them to see artup.com,” said Chesser.
artup.com allows sellers to display their artwork in virtual galleries and be
seen by potential buyers and collectors worldwide.
Artup.com (official launch is scheduled later this summer) will function as a
reseller for the artists, galleries and individuals that display artwork on
the site.
