Avenue A, Uniglobe.com’s online agency of record,
launched a campaign for the travel site to reach travel shoppers through
targeted online advertising efforts. Billings were not disclosed.

Avenue A’s will use its proprietary “Precision Targeting” technology to
deliver specific ad creative based on profiles of shoppers who have made
travel-related purchases online.

Precision Targeting is not restricted to a network of sites but rather can
track browsing activity and target ad creative anywhere on the Web, the
company said.

“Travel is one of the hottest verticals in the Internet space, and we see
great potential in bringing one-to-one marketing strategies to online travel
shoppers,” said Mike Leo, co-founder and vice president of strategic
development for Avenue A.

Uniglobe.com said the campaign will include banners, sponsorships, contests,
incentive programs, and integrated content deals on high-traffic sites.

Uniglobe.com provides products and services via the Internet to leisure and
business travelers and operates an Internet travel fulfillment center for
home-based agents and online companies.
