Warminster, PA-based TV/Internet auction site startup bidnow.com inc. said it will launch an
advertising campaign on the GO Network beginning April 1.
The advertising relationship was negotiated through bidnow.com’s agent,
Virtual Financial Corp. Spending was not disclosed.
The GO Network is an Internet portal that combines
various Web sites and consumer brands with services that connect with users in
their daily lives. Go Network features content from brand partners
ABCNews.com, ESPN.com and Disney.com, as well as hundreds of other partners.
The ad campaign will feature bidnow.com in one of two promotional spots on the
GO Network , which claims about 19 million monthly visitors. Bidnow.com will
be the only auction company with an advertising presence on the homepage.
bidnow.com is launching its online auctions March 15 and is initially not
charging any registration, selling or transaction fees for the Bidnow
Exchange.
The company’s Auction Television Network bridges the worlds of television and
the Internet by providing a virtual platform to link auctioneers and bidders.
The company said it completed testing of both the Internet and television
broadcast components of its business model late last year over the Internet
and in 7.2 million test cable households.
